Elapsed Time Indicator and Programmable Timer

BCS series is offered as an electronic elapsed time indicator/meter (ETI) or event counter (EC) with alarm output. It has a 5-digit 7-segment display. These units have an internal lithium battery for to show the elapsed time or counted event without the need of any external supply. The replaceable internal battery has a service life more than 15 years. When external power is present, the total elapsed time or total counted events can be displayed continuously or for a defined period of time after C button pressed. In low power mode, the unit consumes less than 10mW. Elapsed time or counted event data is stored in a non-volatile FRAM memory and a copy is stored in EEPROM to increase reliability.

The unit can count forward or backward and an alarm can be generated when a target time or count reached. Alarm output can drive a led or a relay directly for a visual indication.

The unit has a UART communication interface for reading time/count value, configuring BCS operating modes. Resetting or changing the time/count value requires an encrypted message. Every unit has a unique master key which blocks unauthorized access over UART.
Metal chassis is resistant to shock/vibration and the unit is IP65 protected from the front side. It is designed for harshest environments. This instrument is ideal for reliable time or count keeping for service maintenance schedules in a very small space.
